Covington Student Education

Education comes alive everyday in the classrooms of Covington Schools. From a kindergarten class where young minds grapple to read the hands of a clock to the chemistry lab where experiments spark a science career, Covington students are working hard. Throughout the district, the staff and student body work together as a cohesive group. The small student size of over 900 students allow one-on-one interactions between teachers and students. The school district has tremendous facilities, exceptional staff members, a strong curriculum, and abundant extracurricular opportunities to round out the educational experience.

Special Services Provided to Special Children
The needs of special children are met throughout the school district with programs for the learning disabled and developmentally handicapped. The district offers special activities to cater to the needs of Covington's gifted and talented students. The district employs a psychologist and works through the Miami County Board of Education to meet the needs of other exceptional children.

Extras Enhance Learning
Rounding out a Covington education are extracurricular activities. Participation in these activities fosters teamwork, builds school pride and sparks enthusiam into the community. The extra curricular options are quite diverse, ranging from athletics to S.A.D.D. (Students Against Drunk Driving) to Science Olympiad, band drama, musicals, National Honor Society and much more.
